Calendly books meetings. CalendarPipe decides what counts as busy.

Calendly is a full scheduling suite — event types, workflows, routing, team scheduling. CalendarPipe's booking pages do one part of that job well: offer only the time that is genuinely free across every calendar you keep, with a rule deciding which events take time off the table. Pro is $4 a month flat, and calendar sync comes with it.

Where Calendly falls short

Calendly has strengths, but here's what users run into.

Six calendars, then a wall

Calendly's paid plans check up to six calendars for conflicts, and the free plan checks one. Keep a calendar per client, plus a personal one and a shared family one, and you run out of room before you run out of clients. And since August 2024, Calendly won't connect a new iCloud calendar at all.

Priced per seat

Standard is $10 a seat a month and Teams $16, both billed yearly. That makes sense for a sales team. It is a lot for one person who needs a link that respects their calendars.

A calendar is checked or it is not

Calendly lets you choose which calendars it reads for conflicts. Shaping which events on a calendar should count — accepted invitations only, not the all-day holiday, not the tentative hold — is the job CalendarPipe rules were built for.

Your calendars still don't talk to each other

Calendly reads your calendars to find free time; it does not copy events between them. If your work calendar also needs to show your personal commitments, that is a second tool and a second bill.

Why teams switch to CalendarPipe

Every calendar counts

Pro booking pages take any number of busy calendars — Google, Microsoft, Apple, hosted calendars, even read-only ICS feeds. No ceiling to plan around.

Rules decide what is busy

Let only accepted invitations block. Keep all-day events bookable. Block only events with attendees, or add buffer time around meetings. Test the rule against your real events before it goes live.

It won't offer time it can't verify

If one of your busy calendars cannot be read — an expired connection, a provider outage — the page shows no availability instead of guessing. Nobody books over a meeting the page could not see.

Sync comes with it

The same $4 covers CalendarPipe pipes: keep your work calendar showing personal commitments, copy events between Google, Outlook and Apple, all under rules you write.

When Calendly is the better choice

We'd rather you pick the right tool than the one we sell.

You need intake questions or routing

CalendarPipe asks the booker for a name, an email and an optional note. Nothing else. If you qualify leads before a call, or route them to the right person, Calendly does that and CalendarPipe does not.

The booking page lives on your website

Calendly embeds on your site, even on its free plan. CalendarPipe booking pages are hosted on calendarpipe.com and can't be embedded yet.

A team books through one link

A CalendarPipe page books one person. Round-robin and collective scheduling across a team are Calendly territory.

You run many kinds of meetings

Calendly is built around event types, reminders and workflows. A CalendarPipe page offers 15, 30 or 60 minutes against one set of hours. Pro allows as many pages as you like, but there are no automated reminder sequences or payments.

Switching from Calendly is low-risk

There's no data to move and no hard cutover. Run CalendarPipe alongside Calendly, then switch over only once you're ready.

  1. 1

    Run both side by side

Keep your Calendly link live while you build the CalendarPipe page. Bookings already made stay on your calendar either way.

  2. 2

Add every calendar that should block time

Connect your calendars, add them to the page as busy calendars, and pick a rule for each — or keep the default, where every event blocks its slot.

  3. 3

    Swap the link

Check the What's blocking panel to confirm the free time looks right, then replace the Calendly link in your email signature and wherever else you share it.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about switching from Calendly.

Is CalendarPipe a replacement for Calendly?

For a one-to-one booking link, yes: visitors see only your free time, pick a slot, and get a real calendar invitation by email, with cancel and reschedule links. For intake forms, embeds, team scheduling or payments, Calendly covers more, and CalendarPipe doesn't try to.

How many calendars can a booking page check?

On Free, one busy calendar per page, bookable up to 14 days ahead. On Pro, any number of busy calendars and a booking window of 30, 60, 90 or 180 days.

Can I keep Calendly and use CalendarPipe alongside it?

Yes. A common setup: a CalendarPipe pipe copies busy blocks from your extra calendars into one calendar Calendly already checks. Calendly then sees all of your commitments without hitting its connection limit — and the details stay off the copy if your rule strips them.

Does the person booking need an account?

No. They open the link, pick a time, and receive a standard calendar invitation by email. Accepting it puts the meeting on their calendar, whatever calendar app they use.

How much does CalendarPipe cost?

Free forever with one booking page, 2 connected accounts and 1 pipe. Pro is $4 a month, or $40 a year, for unlimited booking pages, busy calendars, accounts and pipes.

Ready to switch from Calendly?

Two minutes to set up. Free forever plan, no credit card. Or try Pro free for 14 days.
